Pauline Helen Phillips

	Pauline Helen Phillips, age 77, of Pinckneyville, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 in Carlyle Health Care, Carlyle, Ill. at 2:40 a.m.
	Pauline was born in Pinckneyville on February 19, 1924, the daughter of William and Linda (Dal Santo) Fontana.  She was a telephone operator with AT&T for 24 years, Dietary Supervisor at Pinckneyville Community Hospital for 17 years, a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, and a member of the Catholic Daughters.
	Survivors include a daughter:  Barbara Wessel and her husband Dennis of Centralia, three sons:  John and his wife Kelly, William, David and his wife Allison, all of Pinckneyville, three sisters:  Mabel Chwasczinski and her husband Stanley of Nashville, Marie LaRowe of Pinckneyville, Felicita Cheek Kellerman of Pinckneyville, four grandchildren:  Nicole and Andrew Wessel and Abram and Christopher Phillips.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister:  Elizabeth Tina Johnson and two brothers:  Albert and Val Fontana.
	Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 17 at 10 a.m. in St. Bruno Catholic Church with Fr. John Venegoni officiating.  Interment was in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 8 until 9:30 a.m.  A Rosary was said at the funeral home on Thursday at 9 a.m.
	Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Bruno Cemetery.
